Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate TV width and height from the diagonal?
For a 16:9 TV, width = diagonal × 0.8716 and height = diagonal × 0.4903. So a 65” TV is about 56.7” wide and 31.9” high.
Are these the physical TV dimensions?
They're the picture area only. The actual product is slightly larger once you add the bezel, and the stand adds width and depth — always check the exact model before buying furniture.
Formula assumes a 16:9 picture area (width = diagonal × 0.8716, height = diagonal × 0.4903). Last reviewed 2026-08-12.
